On the Teach Earth: Climate Change at the Arctic's Edge expedition, Earthwatch provides teachers with the opportunity to join researchers and scientists in measuring evidence of global warming near Churchill, a small town on Hudson Bay that’s on the front line of climate change. These teachers are helping researchers as they learn all they can about this fragile environment by donning waist-high waders to take water samples and assess the abundance of the fish and frogs that make these northern wetlands their home. When the teachers return to their classrooms from the field, they will share their experiences with students, colleagues, family, and friends through stories, lessons, and community action projects in order to inspire and build a future generation of leaders who value the environment and prioritize it in their everyday choices.
