Scientists expect to observe the greatest effects of global warming in the Arctic. But what, exactly, will these effects be? Shrinking sea ice, retreating glaciers, a tree line migrating farther north, and less snow that also melts earlier—researchers are studying these climate-related changes to discover what they mean for the Arctic, and nine adventurous teachers are joining the researchers on their quest this summer.
